Evaluation, Learning, and Innovation (EL&I)

The Evaluation Learning and Innovation workstream was established in 2023 to provide a foundation for sharing ideas, experience and insights across the Project.

Led by AxiaOrigin, a strategy and analytics consultancy, the workstream established a firm foundation for evaluation, learning, and innovation across the Project. It has produced a five-year roadmap that defines what innovation should embody in each forthcoming year. 2023’s objective was to establish a "Stable Base," setting the groundwork for subsequent years. Year 2 aims to "Drive Results," with Years 3, 4, and 5 focusing on "Connecting," "Sustaining," and "Giving" respectively.

In 2023, the workstream helped the Project to redefine its understanding of innovation, and explored what innovation meant to each workstream. It embraced the power of alternative metrics and helped the Project to shape alternative indicators for measurement, based on a values driven approach. It also introduced ways to shape how the Project workstreams could work together more. Quarterly workshops were established, embedding Evaluation, Learning and Innovation (ELI) principles and enabling the entire project team to come together and share ideas.
